Pilot Program for Higher Ed

Try Yellowdig with your students — at no cost

Students who feel connected to their peers are more likely to stay enrolled, show up, and succeed. See what a real community looks like in your program before you bring it to your campus.

This is a structured pilot, not a download. We set up your community space, you run it with your students, and together we measure what happens. Your community is live within 24 to 48 hours of submitting this form.

Why it works

Why faculty and administrators run Yellowdig pilots

Students who belong stay enrolled.

The research is consistent: students with stronger peer connections are more likely to persist through a semester, especially in online and hybrid programs. Yellowdig is built specifically to create those connections — in a way that’s visible to you, not just felt by students.

More engagement, without chasing it.

When students have a space that feels genuinely theirs — where they earn points for real contribution, not just posting to satisfy a requirement — the quality of participation changes. You stop reminding people to show up. They just do.

Outcomes you can actually bring to leadership.

At the end of your pilot, you’ll have real data: who engaged, how often, and how that correlated with what you care about. That’s what turns a single program experiment into a campus-wide conversation.

Questions we hear a lot

There’s no charge and no credit card required. We offer this because running a real community with real students tells you more about Yellowdig than any demo ever could. If the pilot goes well and you want to expand, that’s when we’d have a conversation about institutional pricing. There’s no obligation that comes with the pilot.

Yes — and faculty pilots often become the proof of concept that administrators need to move forward. We work with faculty, instructional designers, department chairs, and student services teams. If you’re in a position to run a program with students, we can build you a community.

Less than you’d expect. You don’t do any technical setup — we handle that. Once your community is live, running it typically adds about 15 to 20 minutes a week to your workload. Most of that is reading what students are saying to each other.

Yellowdig integrates with Canvas, Blackboard/Anthology, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, and others. Your pilot can run with or without LMS integration — you don’t need integration to get started. We’ll walk through your setup during the follow-up call.

LMS discussion boards are designed for assignment submission. Students post because they have to, and they stop the moment the requirement is met. Yellowdig is built for actual community — students participate because the space feels like theirs, not because a grade depends on it. The difference in engagement tends to be apparent within the first two weeks.
